Bank of England NPA Banknote Checking Scheme 

NPA members encouraged to sign up

NPA have joined forces with the Bank of England, the initiative is called the Banknote Checking Scheme. Details are on our website at www.thenpa.com/Media-Centre/Company-Accreditations/Banknote-Checking-Scheme.aspx or by clicking on the accreditations box on our home page. The voluntary scheme requires training staff to undertake a simple and quick checks on banknotes. To join this scheme visit the Bank of England’s website where you can pledge your support by simply completing the survey form. Let us know and we will issue an instore certification.

Vulnerability 1  A course, which follows FCA’s Financial Lives Report which focused on vulnerability of customers and remains their main focus for 2019.

Social Media Skills- Instagram Course So that staff can help grow your business.

Complaints Handling Policy to comply with FOS requirements including claims management companies.

Financial Promotions on Social Media and FCA Guidance (including gender stereotyping) This course reflects new FCA requirements regarding social media and other promotions including websites, and also the new rules (ASA January 2019) regarding gender stereotyping.

In total NPA will then have a total of 28 courses, all available to members for £39 a year. The Certificate in Pawnbroking Excellence continues to be highly recognised in demonstrating competence in pawnbroking.
