Our President is continuing to engage with the Director of Retail Banking Supervision, Policy and Competition at the FCA. One of our priorities which continues to be pursued, with the aim of guaranteeing access to a bank account and to finance. A roundtable with key stakeholders to drive this agenda forward has not taken place and some banks still have a blanket ban on our sector, despite being FCA authorised and regulated businesses.
The FCAs’ understanding is that the offending banks who the NPA Officers forwarded to the FCA, maintain that blanket bans are not in place. The NPA has been requested to provide details of any issues with specific banks and the FCA will discuss directly with the banks to see what has changed.
