The NPA exists to provide a central organisation for pawnbrokers to promote and maintain high standards of business conduct and professional competence.

We represent the interests and views of members to government departments including the Office of Fair Trading; Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform; as well as the Financial Ombudsman Service. We also help potential customers find their nearest pawnbroker.
