The National Pawnbrokers Association is also pleased to announce that it is able to offer members a very competitive third-party cheque cashing facility.

Cheque cashing is a service whereby a customer may encash a cheque made payable to himself in your outlet for the value of the cheque, less a commission. With an estimated seven million adults in the UK unbanked, the service, like pawnbroking, proves to be of considerable value in the local community and especially as High Street banks become ever scarcer.

The NPA has a designated wholly owned subsidiary company called NPA Clearing Services Limited (NPACS) incorporated in 1997 to provide a wide range of financial services to members the first of which is a third-party cheque clearing facility. It has been developed by members, for members. NPACS cheque clearing scheme offers security, flexibility, lower costs, higher profits and cheque cashing advice. For further information contact:
